Concept Capital Markets Hires Jay Davis, Opens Office in San Francisco

Concept Capital Markets has hired John M. “Jay” Davis III as senior vice president of Client Service in the Prime Brokerage Services group.

With over 20 years of brokerage experience, Davis has experience in brokerage operations, risk control and providing client service to hedge fund managers as a prime brokerage account manager. He comes to Concept Capital from J.P. Morgan, where he spent the last five years building and managing client relationships with hedge fund clients serviced out of the San Francisco office. Previously, he worked at Bear Stearns, for many years as a prime brokerage client relationship manager.

Davis will be based in the firm’s newly established office in San Francisco.

“San Francisco is a natural extension of our West Coast expansion plan that took us to San Diego and Los Angeles in 2011 and last year, respectively. The Bay Area remains very active in the alternative investment manager space, and we believe our comprehensive solutions platform could prove very appealing to established and emerging managers in this market,” said Jack Seibald, Concept co-founder and managing member.
