Concept Capital Markets has hired Brett Yarkon and Henry Shillingford to take on senior managerial roles in its Prime Brokerage division.
Yarkon, who will become Concept Capital’s new managing director for Managed Accounts, Prime Services and Capital Introduction, joins the firm from I.A. Englander where, as managing director, he was head of Risk Management and responsible for operations and client relations. In this way his recruitment forms a part of Concept Capital’s wider acquisition of I.A. Englander’s MA&PS platform. An earlier role as senior vice president at Guggenheim Advisors saw Yarkon handling market risk, hedge fund due diligence and asset allocation for seven years, during which time the company grew from assets under management of $500 million to over $3 billion.
Henry Shillingford has equally spent seven years working in prime services as senior vice president of Prime Services at Lazard Capital Markets, fulfilling the same role at Royal Bank of Canada before that. He has significant experience in developing and maintaining client relations, coordinating capital introduction events and providing business consulting services to newly launched hedge fund firms.
