Paul Webb-Jones has been appointed Managing Director of Computershare Dubai. He will be heading up a new Computershare office expected to open in the Dubai International Finance Centre (DIFC) in the new year.

Paul previously spent four years working as Sales Manager for Bloomberg in the Middle East. His role as Managing Director of Computershare Dubai will be to provide a local presence for Computershare’s expertise in corporate governance, cross border listing services and its interactive audience response systems used for corporate meetings and conferences.

With the rapid growth of economies in the Middle East and with the liquidity the region provides, demand for services such as cross border listing and improved corporate governance is on the increase. Computershare has already assisted Australian, US and Canadian companies to list on the Dubai International Finance Exchange (DIFX) using its innovative cross border listing structures, and it plans to leverage this expertise, enabling companies from the Middle East to conduct secondary listings on international exchanges.

Computershare currently delivers a number of its products across the Middle East, including audience response systems for numerous events such as DIFC Week 2007 & 2008, as well as Global Entity Management software for enhanced corporate governance.

The appointment of Paul Webb-Jones and the opening of a Computershare office increases Computershare’s commitment to the region, enabling Computershare, globally, to more conveniently service clients and stakeholders through a local presence.
