Computershare has appointed Rob Cooper to the position of Technical Manager, Global Share Plans. He will be responsible for ensuring Computershare focuses on, understands and complies with current legislation in the administration of its clients’ employee share plans.

Computershare says Cooper will have a key role in developing relationships with relevant industry bodies such as ProShare, ABI and IASB as well as building and maintaining a relationship with the Inland Revenue and HM Treasury. He will report directly to Sally Russell, Director Global Share Plans.

“Rob has immense experience in the development and delivery of share plans to major global businesses and will be a valuable addition to the team,” says Russell. “The appointment of a dedicated Technical Manager underlines our commitment to delivering superior customer service to all of our clients all of the time.”

Cooper joins Computershare from Hewitt Bacon & Woodrow where he was a member of the Talent and Organisation Consulting team advising FTSE-350 companies on reward strategy with a particular emphasis on employee share plans and implementing global share plans for businesses such as Kimberley-Clark and Aegis.

He worked previously at the Inland Revenue on the Employee Share Schemes team.
