Commerzbank Makes Key Hires For Custody and Collateral Services

Commerzbank has made four key hires to assist in the continuing build out of its custody and collateral services business and the integration of that business into the Investment and Corporate Bank.

Commerzbank has made four key hires to assist in the continuing buildout of its custody and collateral services business and the integration of that business into the Investment and Corporate Bank.

Mark Morris was formerly with Nomura, where he was global head of core operations since August 2010. He also worked at Deutsche Bank, where he was head of European Securities Utility from 2000 to 2006. Morris joined Commerzbank on Wednesday this week.

Fraser MacKenzie, formerly of Barcap, joined in February as a consultant in the Market Services Division. He joined Barcap in 1998 and was most recently global head of Reconciliation Services Utility, and global head of Payments and Operations Control.

Andy Cullen joins from Northern Trust where he was project manager of European custody strategy since October 2012. He was also formerly with SecFinex, the securities lending/ borrowing exchange platform.

Nigel Eastman also joined as a consultant. He was formerly from Citi where he was senior vice president, corporate eFX Solutions since April 2000.

All four report to Rob Scott, head of custody at Commerzbank. Commenting on the hires, Scott says: “This is part of the continuing buildout of our custody and collateral business and demonstrates the bank’s commitment to solving post-trade and regulatory issues for our clients.”
