Commerzbank derivatives head to depart

Commerzbank’s Eugene Stanfield, head of derivatives execution and clearing services, is to leave after serving over 16 years at the bank, according to sources.

Commerzbank’s Eugene Stanfield, head of derivatives execution and clearing services, is to leave after serving over 16 years at the bank, according to sources.

Since 2009 Stanfield has been responsible for managing Commerzbank’s OTC client clearing, FX prime brokerage, and its futures and options execution and clearing businesses.

Prior to that he led business management and transaction support for the Americas at Kleinwort Benson before it was taken over by Commerzbank in 2008.

A spokesperson for Commerzbank declined to comment on individual people moves.

During his time at the bank, he has been a frequent spokesperson for the derivatives industry, speaking at a number of industry events and panels.
