BNP Paribas Securities Services (BNP Paribas) has appointed Colin Shapiro as Head of Fund Accounting, Middle Office and Outsourcing (FAMOO), within its UK Global Fund Services Product team. He started at BNP Paribas last week.

Shapiro is based in London and reports both to Stephen Turner, Head of UK Global Fund Services Product and Alan Dundon, Global Product Head of FAMOO. He joins BNP Paribas from CSTIM Ltd., the leading UK consultant in investment management outsourcing.

During his time at CSTIM, Shapiro was involved in a number of outsourcing transactions, business and organisational strategy and IT selection assignments across both the retail and the institutional investment management sectors.

Prior to CSTIM, Shapiro worked on various assignments with Barclays Bank and Ernst & Young, which he joined after a thirteen year spell with the Prudential Assurance Company.
