Close Asset Management continues to boost its intermediary acquisitions team with the appointment this month of Cameron Jack as Director of Intermediary Acquisitions. Cameron will be a key member of the team focussed on maximising opportunities in the period leading up to implementation of the Retail Distribution Review (RDR).

Cameron has spent the last eight years advising on a wide range of M&A transactions, most recently as a director in Kaupthing Singer & Friedlanders UK M&A team and prior to that at Hawkpoint. He started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he qualified as a chartered accountant. Cameron will report to Stuart Dyer, supporting him in the acquisition of IFA businesses.

Cameron has joined at a very exciting time for Close; we have already announced our ambitious plans to grow the business both organically and through acquisitions and these plans are now gathering momentum, says Stuart Dyer, Head of Intermediary Acquisitions. The RDR announcement will once again have brought the pressure of RDR compliance into focus for many IFAs. Recruiting talented staff who can offer guidance and insight during this transitional period is crucial in developing our IFA partnerships. We believe there will be a significant number of advisers looking to exit the market and Camerons appointment underlines our determination to develop the business in this area over the coming years.
