The international division of Close demonstrates its commitment to managing risk within the offshore jurisdictions with the appointment of Mark Coxshall as the director of risk. Mark, whilst based in Jersey, will be responsible for risk management in Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man.
“Close is delighted to have Mark on board, says Andrew Henton, head of offshore businesses for the Close Asset Management division. His valuable experience will help further develop Closes stringent approach to risk management at all levels.
The current financial climate has punished those who ignore risk, which is why we are keen to maintain our track record of prudent management, stability and sound investment practises.”
Mark has worked internationally and represented Jersey on networks such as the Egmont Group of Financial Intelligence Units, Camden Asset Recovery Inter-Agency Network (CARIN) and as a leading figure in Jerseys 2008 International Monetary Fund (IMF) review. Having also held a position on the Anti Money Laundering Strategy Group (where he worked closely with the Jersey Financial Services Commission and the Law Officers Department) Mark is well placed to enhance Closes risk management framework.
Joining Close from his previous role as the head of the Joint Financial Crimes Unit within the States of Jersey Police, Mark brings with him 19 years of investigative experience in a variety of senior policing roles.
