The International division of Close appoints Graham Sheward as managing director for its Banking businesses in Guernsey and the Isle of Man.
I am delighted to have Graham on board, says Andrew Henton, head of international businesses for Close. His appointment underlies commitment to our strategic plans regarding the development of our banking operations and competitive position.
Close provides international banking services for private and corporate clients around the world. It offers a wide range of products to meet the needs of its customers including a wide range of account types in multiple currencies, VISA debit cards, foreign exchange services, lending and full international money payment and transfer facilities. These services are supported by a culture of personal service and with Graham on board, Close aims to develop further these capabilities as an offshore bank.
Graham Sheward has over twenty-five years banking experience gained in the UK and offshore. Joining Close from Zurich Bank International as the managing director, and previously head of the NatWest Expatriate Service in the Isle of Man, Graham has a successful track record in delivering business growth. His experience extends to his position as an executive council member for the banking industry body, the Isle of Man Bankers Association, for which he has served for four consecutive years. More recently he passed the Institute of Directors Diploma in company direction.
I will be looking to grow the balance sheet of the bank strongly in coming years and the conservative reputation of Close, its strong credit rating and trusted brand is an ideal starting point, says Graham Sheward.
