Assets under custody (AuC) at Clearstream hit a new record high in February of EUR 13.2 trillion, up 9% year-on-year.

Securities held under custody in Clearstream’s international business increased by 9% to EUR 6.9 trillion, as did securities at its German CSD, amounting to EUR 6.2 trillion.

During the month, it settled 3.9 million international transactions, up 7%.

In addition, fees from triparty repo, securities lending and collateral management services jumped 8% amounting to a combined EUR 629.5 billion.

“These record numbers are remarkable because they reflect healthy growth across all Clearstream service lines. This growth is clearly driven by new and existing customers bringing additional assets to Clearstream,” says Marc Robert-Nicoud, member of the Clearstream Executive Board, responsible for strategy, pricing and communications.

“Customers have been very receptive to the way we have integrated settlement, custody, collateral management and CCP clearing services for all asset classes, including investment funds.”
