Claudio Cesario has been appointed chairman of the management board and CEO of UniCredit Bank Serbia JSC, according to a newsflash from UniCredit.
He will take over the CEO role from Klaus Priverschek, who had been CEO of the Serbian bank since December 2007. Cesario most recently was head of CEE Banks Strategy, Planning and Controlling, responsible for 15 banks in Central and Eastern Europe in UniCredit.
Cesario was Head of Commercial Strategies and Development of Network & Direct Channels for Banco di Sicilia, where he managed network integration in a major acquisition in 1998. In 2004, he moved to Banca di Roma, initially as head of Planning and Budget and later head of Planning and Control, reporting directly to CEO, in charge of Risk Management, Finance and Internal Rating Agency.
Claudio has a degree in business economics and graduated from the Accelerated Development Programme of the London Business School.
