Deloitte & Touche LLP says Stephen R. Katz, a former Citigroup Chief Information Security Office, has been appointed as an executive advisor to the firm’s Security Services Group.

Katz has 25 years’ experience in information security and is a well-known and respected security professional within the financial services industry, having also served as Merrill Lynch’s Chief Information Security and Privacy Officer. His primary role at Deloitte & Touche will be to provide insight into the issues facing the financial services industry and help the firm construct its services to meet the needs of the business community.
