Deloitte & Touche LLP says Stephen R. Katz, a former Citigroup Chief Information Security Office, has been appointed as an executive advisor to the firm’s Security Services Group.
Katz has 25 years’ experience in information security and is a well-known and respected security professional within the financial services industry, having also served as Merrill Lynch’s Chief Information Security and Privacy Officer. His primary role at Deloitte & Touche will be to provide insight into the issues facing the financial services industry and help the firm construct its services to meet the needs of the business community.
“We are excited to have Steve Katz available to help us further refine our security offering for the financial services industry,” says Ted DeZabala, Principal and National Financial Services Leader for Deloitte & Touche’s Security Services Group. “Based on his experience building and directing information security programs and his leadership positions in various financial services associations, Steve will be a valuable resource identifying specific issues facing financial service companies.”
“This is a terrific opportunity to work with a leading edge provider of security solutions,” adds Katz. “I am looking forward to supporting Deloitte & Touche and helping bring valuable solutions to an industry where I have spent much of my career.”
