Citigroup expanded its services offered in Vietnam, now providing direct custody and clearing services business south-Asian country.
The move, first announced in late Feburary is a part of Citigroup’s Global Transation Services that has long-term plans to meet the needs of the Asian-Pacific markets. The investment bank already offered securities trading and corporate cash management to the region.
Vietnam is a market with exciting opportunities for both local and international investors,” said Margaret Dawson, Asia Pacific Region head of securities services for Citigroups Global Transaction Services. “The economy is developing rapidly and Citigroup through our expanded services aims to support the needs of these investors. This addition to our securities services network further enhances our reach and coverage within Asia Pacific, expanding the network to 15 countries.
