Clive Triance has been appointed Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Head of Direct Custody and Clearing (DCC) at Citigroup. He also has expanded responsibilities as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Securities and Fund Services (SFS) EMEA.
In his new role, Triance will be the senior representative for SFS for EMEA, chairing the EMEA SFS Management Committee and representing SFS EMEA on the GTS EMEA Management Committee and the Global SFS Management Committee.
In a statement, Citigroup said Triance “will own the strategy and P&L for SFS EMEA’s largest product. As COO of SFS EMEA, Clive will ensure alignment on regional issues and foster integration among the five SFS business lines, which include DCC, Global Custody, Fund Services, Securities Finance and Issuer Services. Clive, who did an outstanding job as acting head of EMEA SFS for the last three months, will also Chair the EMEA SFS Management Committee.”
Citigroup adds that “the new structure recognizes the importance of regional management, while preserving the five distinct global businesses within SFS and their global reporting lines. It also ensures a critical linkage with the countries, given the key role that DCC plays in most branches.”
As EMEA SFS COO, Triance will report to Francesco Vanni d’Archirafi. As EMEA DCC Head, he will report to Andrew Gelb.
