Citi has realigned its leadership within the Investor Services division, and appointed Sanjiv Sawhney to global head of a new Custody and Fund Services (CFS) unit.

The new unit will include Global Custody, Global Fund Services and Private Equity services.

“The new Custody and Fund Services organization will enable us to present a more unified and streamlined service to our clients, many of whom use us for the combination of custody and fund services,” Citi says in a memo.

“Importantly, the combined business is ideally placed to harmonise the delivery of future product and service enhancements and will help us meet the growing and complex needs of our global clients.”

According to the memo, Sawhney will make further appointments for the new CFS unit in due course.

The integration of the Global Custody and Fund Services units comes as Pat Curtin, previous global head of Fund Services, was named global head of Sales and Client Management for Global Custody, Fund Services and Agency Lending at the end of July.

Curtin will report to Alan Pace, global head of Investor Services Sales.

“Pat will lead our effort to expand our presence and brand with asset managers and asset owners globally in this newly created role,” says another memo from Citi.
