Citi has appointed two new fund services experts who arrive from JP Morgan and State Street, according to an internal memo seen by Global Custodian.

Citi has appointed two new fund services experts who arrive from JP Morgan and State Street, according to an internal memo seen by Global Custodian.

Patrick O’Brien will join Citi to head Fund Services in Ireland, with an eye on driving the firm’s offshore business development efforts for Ireland and Luxembourg.

He will report to both Pervaiz Panjwani, EMEA head of global fund services; and Danny Caplan, EMEA head of investor services sales.

Keith Lau will also join Citi in London as global head of funds technology on 1 August. He had previously been with State Street for 29 years in the fund accounting and custody business.

His most recent role was as senior vice president & global head of analysis, testing and deployment. While at State Street he also held roles including head of IT for UKMEA and senior IT leader of global operations/technology transformation program.

According to the memo, Lau will be responsible for developing the overall vision and strategy for funds technology.
