Citi Property Investors, Citigroup’s real estate investment management business, has appointed a new merchant banking head to expand its reach into Asia as its alternatives arm struggles to refocus after a year of growth and retrenchment.
Shanti Sen was appointed to the new position and will report to Joseph Azrack, president and chief executive officer of Citi Property Investors.
Sen joins the bank from the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation, the private company that manages the city-state’s foreign investment portfolios and has more than $100 billion in assets under management.
