Citigroup prime brokerage has promoted Martin Visairas to the role of global head of Capital Introductions, according to a memo seen by Global Custodian.
Based in London, his role will involve helping hedge funds raise capital from investors.
Visairas joined the bank in 2010 from financial conglomerate Old Mutual in Hong Kong as the bank’s head of Asia-Pacific sales and capital introduction, within Citi’s prime finance unit. In October 2014, he moved back to London to focus on Citi’s European Capital Introduction business.
He will report to Alan Pace, global head of investor services sales, and James Harris, EMEA co-head of investor services sales.
