Citi’s Global Transaction Services has expanded its Private Equity and Real Estate Services capabilities for investment managers and investors based in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and appointed Kamran Anwar Product Head for the region. Citi also announced that it has established a client service team in Dublin as part of the broader effort to service private equity clients across the region. This, in tandem with the existing funds businesses in both Luxembourg and Jersey, solidifies Citi’s Private Equity capabilities in the EMEA space.

“With Kamran joining our team, we have true leadership for our Private Equity Services business in the region,” said Joe Patellaro, Global Head of Private Equity Services, Citi. “Kamran’s broad exposure throughout Citi and his experience with several markets, governments and client segments will be a critical factor as Citi expands private equity services in EMEA.”

Andrew Gelb, Citi’s Head of Securities and Fund Services in Europe, Middle East & Africa said, “Although our Private Equity Services business has been servicing important clients, both funds and investors, throughout EMEA for many years, Kamran’s appointment formalizes our on-the-ground operating model in this important region, which offers considerable growth potential for our private equity services.”
