Citi Global Markets has appointed Adrian Faure as head of Asian equities-ex Australia and Japan. In this new role, Adrian will be responsible for the strategic direction and management of the equities business across 16 markets in Asia Pacific. He will continue to be based in Hong Kong.
Adrian was most recently the head of Citi Investment Research Asia Pacific, including Japan and Australia. Adrian joined Citi in May 2005, having spent the previous 18 years in Asia in a number of analyst and research management roles at Baring Securities, Merrill Lynch and Macquarie Securities. While at Merrill Lynch, he also spent two years in New York as head of Latin America and Global Emerging Markets research. Adrian commenced his career in Equity sales with James Capel in 1987.

Citi was ranked number one in the annual Institutional Investor All-Asia Research poll for 2008 and 2009.

Faure will report to Ratliff and Zorrilla as well as to Derek Bandeen as Global Head of Equities.
In his new role Adrian will work closely with Richard Heyes, head of equities in Japan and Luke Randell, co-head of markets in Australia, in leading Citis regional equities business.
Brent Robinson, who is currently the deputy head of Citi Investment Research, has been promoted as head of Citi Investment Research across the pan-Asia time zone.Brent joined Citi in September 2005 from Macquarie Securities where he was deputy head of Asia Pacific research and head of pan-Asian industry equity research since 2002. Prior to that, he spent 16 years at Merrill Lynch, including ten years in New York where he worked in a variety of roles in sales-trading and trading in the U.S. and Latin America equity products.
