CipherCloud Provides Cloud Data Encryption For MUFJ Custody Business

Mitsubishi UFJ Global Custody and its Japanese subsidiary have adopted CipherCloud as their cloud data encryption technology for the use of Salesforce.com.

Mitsubishi UFJ Global Custody is a group company involved in the fund management business and global custody business of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group. While the company considered using Salesforce.com for its business operations, securities issues arising from sharing information between locations was a deterrent. Adopting CipherCloud for Salesforce, delivered by CipherCloud’s Japanese partner SunBridge, allows the company to achieve security; any information stored in Salesforce.com, is encrypted by going through the CipherCloud for Salesforce gateway.

Pravin Kothari, CEO of CipherCloud, said, “Interest in data protection is increasing in European countries including Luxembourg, and the companies and governments could not receive the advantage of the cloud technologies and services in terms of economics and other benefits without CipherCloud.”
