Cicada, a provider of data management and compliance technology for financial institutions, has appointed Shaun Hassett to its business development team.
As vice president of Business Development, Hassett is responsible for developing and expanding the companys Cicada Profiler software business.
As subject matter expert and frequent industry speaker, Hassetts expertise covers a full range of regulatory compliance standards and practices for the financial services industry, including Know Your Customer (KYC) data management, sanction list screening, enhanced due diligence screening and identification and monitoring of high-risk entities.
Prior to Cicada, Hassett was National Account Manager at Accuity, a provider of data, software and services to help organisations maximize efficiency and meet their regulatory compliance needs, relative to various embargo and sanctions programs and overall KYC compliance.
During his tenure at Accuity, Hassett spent over 16 years providing compliance services and consulting to financial institutions, securities firms, insurance companies, corporations and vendors, helping them employ improved Know Your Customer standards to comply with various AML regulatory requirements.
