CIBC Mellon has hired Shane Kuros as vice president, head of sales, responsible for expanding CIBC Mellon’s relationships with Canadian institutional investors and with global institutions whose clients invest into Canada.

Previously, Kuros served as head of sales and business development at RBC Investor Services. Overall, he has over 25 years of sales, marketing and product development experience in financial services, with executive roles across asset servicing, payment processing and loyalty marketing segments.

“Today’s institutional investors are under intense pressure on many fronts—from expanding global regulatory complexity to a demanding low-interest-rate environment to vastly expanded reporting requirements. I have no doubt that Shane’s extensive experience, strong relationships and deep knowledge of the marketplace will prove very valuable in helping our prospective clients identify opportunities to leverage CIBC Mellon solutions,” says David Linds, senior vice president, business development and relationship management, CIBC Mellon.
