CIBC Mellon today announced it has appointed Sandy MacDonald to the position of vice president, fund services, with responsibility of leading the team for pooled and mutual fund valuations, tax and financial reporting, and recordkeeping.
MacDonald joins CIBC Mellon from BMO Funds, where he was treasurer and senior manager of accounting. He is a member of the Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC) and is qualified as a chartered accountant in Canada and Scotland.
“Fund services is a significant growth area for CIBC Mellon, and we are very pleased to have someone with Sandy’s experience join our team,” said Robert Shier, senior vice president and chief operations officer at CIBC Mellon. “I anticipate we will be able to offer even greater efficiencies to clients by leveraging his background and knowledge to see that CIBC Mellon’s products and services keep pace with new industry developments.”
