Shanghai Jinshan District Government recently held its 2005 “Spring of Jinshan” meeting to introduce Jinshan’s potential for investment.

During this meeting, investment contracts achieved a total value of RMB3.1 billion (USD374.5 million). Of these, eight are foreign projects valuing USD138.6 million and 10 are domestic projects valuing RMB1.95 billion (USD235 million).

Jinshan, one of the 19 districts (counties) of Shanghai, is located in the southwest of the city, north of the Hangzhou Bay and west of Zhejiang Province. It is situated at the hub of the economic region linking Shanghai, Hangzhou and Ningbo, and is inside the geographic ring of the Yangtze River Delta that is only a two hours drive away.
