The new China Industrial Bank (CIB) trading floor will have 70 Etrali Mach 3D turrets used by FX, investment business and capital fund trading on behalf of customers.
One of the considerations in CIB choosing the Etrali Mach 3D was the platform’s built-in dual support for both TDM and VoIP, as the bank wanted to have the option of migrating to IP easily and quickly in the future without having the cost and upheaval of buying new equipment.
“Initially CIB intends to employ TDM technology. However, CIB can migrate to VoIP very easily at any time in the future. One of the features that CIB particularly liked was that they could upgrade their network in the future without having to change their turrets and with minimal disruption to the traders,” Henri Vautheny, managing director Asia-Pacific, Orange Business Services – Trading Solutions.
CIB confirmed that Orange Business Services – Trading Solutions won against stiff competition. Orange Business Services – Trading Solutions has the longest history in China of providing dealing telephony and the best record for service and support both in China and the Asia Pacific region.
“We are delighted to add CIB to our client base. We already have five of China’s top banks as customers, and over 70% of all the voice trading platforms in China, which gives us an excellent understanding of the Chinese marketplace. It is a privilege to be able to take an active role in the phenomenal growth and development of China’s financial markets and means that we are uniquely positioned to continue to provide world-class communications for its ongoing expansion,” says Pierre-Louis de Guillebon, CEO of Orange Business Services – Trading Solutions.
