Alasdair Haynes, former CEO of ITG International, has been appointed CEO of Chi-X Europe, the pan-European equity multilateral trading facility (MTF).

In March 2009, Peter Randall left Chi-X for personal reasons. Mark Howarth was named interim-CEO. Haynes was previously mooted for the top-stop at the London Stock Exchange.

From 2006-2009, Haynes was CEO of ITG International, where he was responsible for all of ITGs non-North American businesses. This role followed a ten year tenure as CEO of ITG Europe, during which time the firm launched Europes first fully electronic crossing network, POSIT. During his career, Haynes has also served as global head of equity derivatives at HSBC James Capel, Head of European listed derivatives at UBS, head of listed and short dated equity options at Bankers Trust and head of equities risk management at Morgan Grenfell. Haynes is also currently a director of FIX Protocol Ltd

Haynes will replace Howarth in February 2009, with Howarth returning to Chi-X Global.
