CheckFree Corporation elected C. Kim Goodwin to the company’s Board of Directors, just as Lewis Levin shed his position as director.

“Kim brings an impressive track record of financial services industry success to CheckFree’s Board of Directors,” said Pete Kight, chairman and chief executive officer of CheckFree. “I believe her deep industry knowledge and management expertise will be an asset to CheckFree as we continue to advance financial electronic commerce solutions for our global customer base.”

Until February 2005, Goodwin held the managing director and chief investment officer of equities with State Street’s research arm, where she oversaw the firm’s equity investments, representing $19 billion in broad equity assets, including pension fund, profit sharing, and mutual fund accounts.

Goodwin joined State Street in 2002 after serving as chief investment officer for American Century Investments where she had primary responsibility for the company’s domestic growth equity discipline.

Prior to American Century Investments, she was a senior vice president at Putnam Investments.

From 1993 to 1996, Goodwin was a vice president and portfolio manager at Prudential Investments and served as portfolio manager for several Prudential equity mutual funds.

Goodwin began her career as an assistant vice president with Mellon Bank in 1987 where she had various investment research and portfolio management responsibilities.
