The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has elected its new line-up of officers for the 2006-2007 year at the AGM held in London on 19 July 2006.

The elections take effect from the handover of Presidential Office at the CII’s UK Insurance and Financial Services conference on 5 October 2006.

The new officers will be:

President Ian Templeton FCII, Chartered Insurer Deputy President The Rt. Hon. The Lord Hunt of Wirral MBE Treasurer Jonathan Clark ACII, Chartered Insurance Practitioner

Vice Presidents on Council: Richard Anderson FCII, FPFS, Chartered Financial Planner Sian Fisher ACII, Chartered Insurer Mike Hammond ACII, Chartered Insurance Practitioner Julian James ACII, Chartered Insurance Practitioner Ken Wallace FCII, Chartered Insurer.

Vice Presidents: Chris Hanks ACII, Chartered Insurer Peter Hubbard.

“It is a great honour to have the opportunity to be President of the CII,” says Ian Templeton. “I am immensely proud of the work that that the CII is carrying out to promote the importance, and benefits, of professionalism across insurance and financial services.

“I want to build on the increasing number of members attracted by the range of enhancements to the services provided by CII including the contribution of the Faculties and PFS. Local institutes have an essential role in delivering services to members and I also look forward to championing the programme to assist local institutes meet their objectives.”

Current President Peter Hales ACII, Chartered Insurer will complete his term and become immediate past president.
