Charles River Development and Nissay Information Technology (Nissay-IT) – the information technology arm of Nippon Life Insurance Company – have formed an alliance to sell the Charles River Investment Management System (Charles River IMS) to the Japanese insurance and asset management markets. The agreement formalizes a long-standing relationship between Nissay-IT and Charles River.
Under the agreement, Nissay-IT will represent Charles River in Japan, providing sales, technical support and professional services, including Charles River IMS software customization, implementation and systems integration. The alliance aims to offer Japanese investment management firms automation of securities trading and operations, connection to electronic order execution and settlement systems, better risk management, and compliance with the audit trail requirements of the Financial Services Agency (FSA).
Charles River is significantly expanding its presence in the Asian Pacific marketplace. In addition to today’s alliance with Nissay-IT, the company has appointed Cameron Field to the post of Managing Director for APAC operations, signed a new product alliance with CameronFIX of Australia, and inked an expanded relationship with BT Financial Group in the last 2 months. The firm expects to release details of more partnerships and customers in the region throughout the year.
