Chapwood Capital L.L.C. announced the formation of its alternative investment management firm designed to provide investment and advisory services to institutional investors, high-net worth individuals and family offices.
The firm’s chief executive officer is Craig Pollak, former managing director and head of new product development for FrontPoint Partners, LLC, a $6 billion hedge fund platform based in Greenwich, Connecticut.
“Chapwood Capital is building a platform of experienced portfolio managers, each representing a different alternative investment strategy,” said Pollak. “Separately, or together, each investment team will provide opportunities to add dimension and value to a client’s investment portfolio. Each team of managers is integrated through Chapwood’s infrastructure that has been designed to support their activities and encourage focused investment management.”
Pollak spent three years at FrontPoint Partners where he was a managing director and the head of new product development. Prior to that, Pollak was a member of Morgan Stanley’s Private Wealth Management client strategy group and a securities law attorney at Cravath Swaine & Moore. Pollak received a JD, cum laude, from New York University Law School and a BA in economics from Yale University.
