Chad South has joined Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. as a director and head of US Clean Products Trading in the firm’s Commodities business within the Global Markets division.

In his new role, South will lead the bank’s clean trading business, focusing on diesel and gasoline trading. South will be based in New York and report to John Redpath, managing director and global head of Oil and Agricultural Trading.

South joins Deutsche Bank from UBS where he was an executive director and refined products trader. Prior to UBS, South worked as a clean refined products trader at JP Morgan Chase. South began his career working at several energy companies, most recently as a refined products trader at British Petroleum.

“Clean products are a key component of our global products trading business and we are pleased to welcome Chad to lead our team in the United States. We are confident his deep knowledge of the industry will further enhance our continuing effort to develop our commodities business,” says Redpath.

South has a B.A. from Kansas State University and an M.B.A. from the University of Houston.
