Dennis Sheehan, 47, who will become CEO of BISYS in January in succession to company founder Lynn Mangum, was today appointed to the BISYS Board of Directors during a Board meeting.

Sheehan’s appointment follows the October 30, 2002 announcement that he will assume the position of chief executive officer of BISYS on January 1, 2003. Sheehan currently serves as BISYS’ president and chief operating officer.

Lynn Mangum, 60, will remain as chairman of the BISYS Board of Directors and an employee of BISYS for a minimum of 18 months to assist Sheehan with strategic planning and overall guidance of the business, and to ensure an orderly transition of leadership as part of BISYS’s succession planning.

In addition to his current position as president and chief operating officer, Mr. Sheehan has served in a variety of executive roles at BISYS, including chief financial officer. Prior to his 10-year career with BISYS, he held executive management positions with Concord Holdings Corporation, The Equitable, and Paine Webber.
