Celent Communications, the research and consulting firm that specialises in the application of information technology in the financial services industry, has recruited Madhavi Mantha and Bart Narter have joined Celent as senior banking analysts.

Mantha’s research will focus on emerging technologies and strategies in the wholesale banking industry. Before joining Celent, she held a number of positions in marketing and product management at Emergis, a leading North American e-business company based in Montreal. Most recently, as senior director, she led the assessment of internal and external business initiatives on behalf of the e-finance executive team. Prior to this, she managed a cross-functional team responsible for the marketing and development of an outsourced electronic invoice presentment and payment solution. Previously, Mantha worked for Bell Canada as an associate director of new product development. She has also held positions as a marketing manager and competitive intelligence analyst at Stentor Resource Centre.

Narter’s research and consulting will focus on emerging technologies affecting retail financial services, with a particular emphasis on branch evolution. Before joining Celent, he was the founder of EnhanceRate, a technology services consulting firm for e-mail marketers. He has held senior management positions at various Silicon Valley technology companies, including Latitude Communications, Exactly!, and MBI. Previously, he was a consultant for Boston Consulting Group, where he conducted numerous case studies examining the financial services industry.

Mantha received her MBA from McGill University and her bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Concordia University in Montreal. She is fluent in English and French.

Narter received his MBA from Stanford University and his BA from Vanderbilt University. He is fluent in English and Spanish and proficient in Portuguese.
