The Board of Directors of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) appointes Bradley G. Griffith to serve a third consecutive one-year term as the Vice Chairman of the Chicago Board Options Exchange for 2009. The new term as Vice Chairman begins on January 1, 2009.

We are very pleased that Brad will be serving a third consecutive term as CBOEs Vice Chairman, says William J. Brodsky, CBOE Chairman and CEO. Brad has been a key contributor to the Exchange through his service on various membership committees, and to the management team through his tenure as Vice Chairman. His extensive experience and insight into industry issues has been integral in shaping many Exchange initiatives. I know I speak not only for the Board, but for all CBOE members, when I say we greatly appreciate Brads continued dedication to CBOE and look forward to working closely with him again in the coming year.

Griffith has been a CBOE member since 1980 and is presently a market maker and lessor member of CBOE. He was formerly a managing member of Specialists DPM, LLC, a Designated Primary Market Making (DPM) firm at the CBOE. In 2008, he served on the CBOE Board of Directors and chaired the Floor Directors and Financial Planning Committees. He also served on the Compensation and Executive Committees. Griffith is a graduate of Indiana University.

Griffith, who was declared Vice Chairman by the CBOE Board of Directors, is the seventeenth Vice Chairman in the thirty-five year history of the Exchange. The Vice Chairman at CBOE is the highest membership representative position at the Exchange and carries a one-year term with a maximum of three consecutive terms served.
