JPMorgan Treasury Services has named Alexander Caviezel as its Regional Executive for the Asia Pacific region. Caviezel assumes the role previously held by Steven Groppi who, earlier this year, moved to London to take responsibility for JPMorgan Treasury Services’ business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, in addition to his continued oversight of the Asia Pacific region. Caviezel will relocate from London to Hong Kong in September.

Caviezel began his career with The Chase Manhattan Bank AG in Germany in 1983 as an internal auditor, moving into a Corporate Finance function with Chase in Zurich. Thereafter, Caviezel moved to the bank’s Geneva branch, taking over structured Trade Finance and then the position of General Manager of JPMorgan’s Swiss branch entities. Most recently, he held the position of Business Manager for Treasury Services in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, prior to taking up his dual roles in Trade and Global Product Management.

“We are confident that we have assembled the strongest team in our industry in the Asia Pacific region,” says Lori Hricik, the Treasury Services Global Business Executive for JPMorgan. “And Alex’s knowledge, entrepreneurial approach and experience significantly enhance the value we continue to bring to our clients in Asia.”
