Capco Names Executive Vice President BPO / Sourcing Development

Gopi Chelliah has been appointed Partner and Executive Vice President, Business Process Outsourcing and Sourcing Development by Capco. Based in London, Chelliah will also serve as a member of Capco's Executive Management Committee and the Capco Transformation client services team.

Gopi Chelliah has been appointed Partner and Executive Vice President, Business Process Outsourcing and Sourcing Development by Capco.

Based in London, Chelliah will also serve as a member of Capco’s Executive Management Committee and the Capco Transformation client services team. He will be responsible for growing and managing the delivery of all IT and Business Process Sourcing services for Capco, including Capco India.

Chelliah joins Capco from Deutsche Bank, where he was Managing Director, CIO Cross Business Technology and Operations, a member of the Technology and Operations Management Committee of the Deutsche Bank Group and of the Deutsche Bank London Board. He managed technology and operations functions across investment and retail banking including Risk, Finance, Compliance, Human Resources IT, Enterprise-wide Architecture, Operations Control and Reference Data. Whilst at Deutsche Bank, Chelliah delivered the first industry Business Process Sourcing of Operations Control functions, in addition to extensive IT sourcing.

Prior to Deutsche Bank, Mr. Chelliah held senior leadership positions in the banking industry for more than 15 years, having led operations and technology functions at a global level with other industry leaders including UBS and CSFB. He brings extensive experience of sourcing from the buyer side, having pioneered the development, negotiation and implementation of some of the banking industry’s most substantive and innovative sourcing programmes in both technology and business process operations.
