The Canadian Capital Markets Association (CCMA) has hired Jane Davis from RBC to lead the association as Executive Director. She starts on 4 April 2005. “Davis will represent the CCMA in all matters affecting its interests and will report directly to the board,” says Gerry O’Mahoney, Chair of the CCMA.

The CCMA’s current priority is to achieve institutional trade-date matching, promoting efficient and timely trade matching among capital market participants. “Jane’s extensive experience communicating at the highest levels will be a significant asset as we lead our industry forward on this very important initiative,” adds O’Mahoney.

Davis has held various positions of increasing responsibility with RBC; most recently as head of RBC Investments Global Risk Management and Compliance.

As Executive Director, Davis will oversee the day-to-day operations of the CCMA, ensuring that decisions and programs are effectively carried out. She will also assist the board in setting direction in achieving CCMA objectives and goals, liaise with the regulatory authorities and provide leadership in building and maintaining stakeholder relationships.

The Canadian Capital Markets Association (CCMA) is a federally incorporated, not-for-profit organization, launched to identify, analyze and recommend ways to meet the challenges and opportunities facing Canadian and international capital markets.
