Calastone Appoints Conde to Chairman of the Board

Calastone has promoted Cris Conde as its new chairman of the board, in a move that will see him take a more prominent role the firm’s business.

Conde took up a seat on the Calastone board as a non-executive director late last year. With his appointment, he will work close alongside Julian Hammerson, the firm’s chief executive.

“Since joining Calastone late last year, Cris has provided invaluable insight into growing a successful financial technology business. His experience and advice has been a great asset to the company, and elevating him to chairman will only serve to strengthen Calastone at its core,” says Hammerson.

Prior to joining the board, Conde spent 28 years at SunGard where he served as president and chief executive of the fintech firm, before stepping down in May 2011.
