CACEIS has developed a share class FX hedging service for asset management clients who distribute their funds worldwide.
Share Class FX Hedging allows asset management companies to manage the currency risk associated with the subscription and redemption of units denominated in currencies other than the fund’s reference currency. This turnkey, adaptable outsourcing solution addresses the technical and operational complexity of this sensitive activity on an industrial scale, says CACEIS.
CACEIS leads the entire process, from pre- and post-execution checks through to accounting treatment, in accordance with the procedures specified with the client. It defines the systematic forex operations to be carried out in line with operational rules on hedging, which are defined by each client for each of their funds. It also provides exhaustive reports drawn up in the format requested by the client and distributed through the channels of their choice.
Philippe Bourgues, head of the CACEIS group’s Front Office Solutions’ operational line, says: “CACEIS’s Share Class FX Hedging service has proven a great success among our clients, as we are offering a solution that is on an industrial scale and yet customisable, the brainchild of our specialised cross-business teams (execution, middle-office, banking, fund accounting, etc.). Fruitful exchanges with our clients are encouraging us to add extra options, such as multi-currency hedging.”
