Butterfield Bank Guernsey has registered in excess of US$12billion in assets under custody as of 30 September 2007.

This represents an increase of over 82% on September 2006 when assets in custody stood at US$6.8 billion.

This achievement can be largely attributed to increased business volumes within the Bank’s institutional business and reflects Butterfield Bank Guernsey’s standing in the custody sector.

Custody services are a core part of Butterfield Bank Guernsey’s offering. This includes access to senior technical specialists, flexibility of reporting and close communications with clients. Additionally, the Bank acts as a Custodian Trustee on a wide variety of regulated Guernsey Collective Investment Schemes.

“We are delighted to have reached over US$12billion in assets in custody. Our dedicated custody team of 25 has a wealth of experience which attracts a high level of business to the Bank. Our results reflect our ability to offer clients a unique and personalised service. We continue to build on our strengths and aims to provide clients with the best possible custodian services,” says Sadie Podmore, head of custody services, Butterfield Bank Guernsey.
