Concetta Mastrangelo, a senior vice president within BTIG Prime Brokerage’s sales team, will lead the effort based in New York.

BTIG will build out a specialised team to focus on the family office market, which has become a fast-growing segment within the alternative investment industry.

“Increasingly, family offers are looking to BTIG for our full-service offering. As an institutional prime broker, we provide advanced portfolio reporting, high-touch services, day-to-day trading services and operational support,” said Brian Petitt, co-head of BTIG Prime Brokerage.

“BTIG continues to carve out a unique position in the market as we help family offices of all sizes meet their goals.

The BTIG Prime Brokerage offers client access to outsourced trading and capital introductions, along with custody and clearing through introduced broker relationships with Goldman Sachs and BNY Mellon’s Pershing.

BTIG are among a number of new entrants into the prime services space that have the capacity to take on smaller and medium-sized clients that had been dropped by the larger prime brokers.
