Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) has promoted Jeffrey R. Holland to Head of European Sales and Relationship Management; Laura L. Hoult to Head of Client Solutions, Europe; William E. Rosensweig to Head of Private Account Services, Europe; and Wendy Brooks to Head of Human Resources in Europe.

The bank says the new appointments are designed to help the bank cope with the growth of its business in Europe, where it has recently added a dedicated FX desk in London, established a securities lending business, and expanded its brokerage and fund distribution activities. BBH says assets held on behalf of European clients account for approximately half of its $1.2 trillion in custody.

“During the course of the last decade, we have successfully expanded our product and service offerings in Europe in order to support BBH clients in ways that match their strategic needs,” says Andrew Tucker, the BBH partner responsible for Europe. “This has resulted in clients increasingly looking to BBH to offer a flexible and customisable service model – one that allows them to use our infrastructure for any combination of custody, administration, distribution, execution and technology. In order to continue to realise these opportunities, we recognised the need to expand our infrastructure by having key executives on the ground in Europe, which led us to establish the new positions announced today.”

Tucker says BBH will continue to invest in its European brand and presence through new hires and enhanced product offerings targeted to the unique needs of its European client base.
