Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) launched the firms thematic strategy product suite, under the leadership of Sam Burns, CFA, one of BBHs senior market strategists.

The BBH thematic strategy research product, which is available now to BBH clients, is designed to offer a framework for top-down allocation decisions, primarily aimed at equity or balanced account portfolio managers. The key components are transparent, objectively-derived indicators based on a combination of financial market theory and empirical analysis, combined with qualitative research and commentary.

Burns is responsible for BBH’s tactical asset allocation and thematic equity style research. Key drivers of his teams research include quantitative indicators based on investor behavior, macroeconomic data, technical, fundamental and other factors, along with qualitative analysis of current trends.

We are very pleased to introduce the new thematic strategy product, which can help give clients guidance on asset allocation and stock selection decisions, Burns says. There is a lot of new material in this product, but it maintains the process-driven approach that has long been a key characteristic of BBH equity research.

Andrew Burkly, director of equity strategy research, adds: This product complements the existing BBH research suite, which gives perspective on broad financial market liquidity, sector and industry allocation, in-depth analysis of corporate earnings, and stock-level earnings revisions analysis. We believe this new addition to the BBH equity research platform will be very useful for our clients and welcome their feedback.

Burns will host an introductory webcast at 10:30 a.m. EST tomorrow.
