Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH)has enhanced the functionality of Infomediary, its data and transaction messaging outsourcing service. The bank says a new “data manager module” will allow clients to directly customize, view and control their data.
The new tool is web-based. Clients using it will be able to view and manipulate time-sensitive information in real-time, while choosing only the data components that best fit their individual needs. Accessible data components include reference (including market, security and currency identifiers), translation and rules (standing settlement instructions) information.
BBH says the new module extends the capabilities of Infomediary, and increases levels of automation while reducing operational risks. It also translates various data formats to industry standards, and will help to eliminate paper-based, manual processing.
“Data Manager places clients in the driver’s seat to better manage critical information,” explains Taylor Bodman, the BBH partner responsible for Infomediary. “Use of this module can deliver immediate results for Infomediary users looking to customize standard industry data into their proprietary applications.”
BBH Infomediary can take in data in any electronic format, normalize and translate it as necessary, and then transmit it over networks such as SWIFT or EMX or any proprietary connection.
