Broadridge Financial Solutions’ board of directors has appointed John Hogan as the company’s president.

The promotion, which is in addition to his role as chief operating officer, recognizes Hogan’s critical role, strong leadership and high level of responsibility, the company wrote in a release.

Before assuming the role of COO at Broadridge, Hogan was division co-president of the brokerage services group of Automatic Data Processing, Inc. Prior to that, he was senior vice president/COO of ADP’s investor communication services division, now known as Broadridge Investor Communication Solutions.

“John is a proven leader in every aspect of the brokerage processing industry – regulatory, technology and operations,” said CEO Rich Daly. “He has a demonstrated record of success in inspiring people and enabling organizations to achieve their full potential. On a more personal note, I have worked with John for many years in multiple capacities and I could not be happier about this well deserved recognition.”
