Broadridge Financial Solutions, Inc. announced that Gloss, its international securities transaction processing solution, has again won the Best Institutional Settlement System award at the Systems in the City Awards ceremony, held in London on May 6, 2010. This is the fifth consecutive year that Broadridge has won this award.

The Systems in the City Awards were introduced in 1999 by Goodacre, a leading specialist consultancy firm, to recognise companies and individuals that provide services to the securities industry. The award winners are decided by online voting, mostly from user firms.

Gloss is a real-time, multi-currency, transaction processing and record keeping solution for post-execution processing of international securities. It automates the complete trade processing lifecycle from trade capture through to confirmation and settlement, to provide the highest levels of straight-through processing and efficient exception management. It is comprehensively proven on a global basis to help businesses to quickly and efficiently capture new revenue opportunities, for example by entering new markets quicker and without investing in system capacity or IT infrastructure, while increasing operational efficiency and diminishing risk.

Over the past two years Broadridge has signed over 10 new client commitments – a record number – for its Gloss solution range, including both ASP and on-site installations spanning Europe, North America and Asia.

Stephen Pinner, Managing Director, Goodacre, the firm that hosts and organises the awards ceremony, said, “Many congratulations to Broadridge on winning this highly prestigious award for the fifth consecutive year. Broadridge’s Gloss solution is a very highly regarded product in the international securities and financial industry and has again attracted a high number of votes from those who appreciate its business benefits.”

Tom Carey, President, Securities Processing Solutions, International, Broadridge, said, “We are thrilled once again that Gloss has won this Systems in the City Award, and we are honoured by the continuing support of the voters. The Gloss brand is well-established in the market; our Gloss services have constantly evolved and will continue to do so at an increased pace over the next few years. We have recently extended our regional capabilities in Asia; added a new multi-language browser; introduced our next wave of enhanced STP workflow services; and launched our prime brokerage capabilities. We look forward to announcing further new services in due course.”
