Linedata Services says Britannic Asset Management has gone live with its LongView Trading FIX Gateway. It believes Britannic Asset Management is the first fund manager in Scotland to use FIX.

Britannic Asset Management (BAM) currently has around Ј14 billion of funds under management. Betsy Anderson, Head of Centralised Dealing at Britannic Asset Management, says “we wanted to be able to route our orders to our brokers and receive executions electronically with little or no manual data entry. We have used Linedata Services’ LongView Trading system since we set up our centralised dealing desk and have enjoyed an excellent relationship with Linedata over the last four years. With this in mind, it was an easy decision to implement our FIX gateway through LongView Trading. In addition, the network provider that we chose to route our orders through had already had many successful LongView Trading implementations. This reinforced our decision and gave us confidence that we were treading familiar, well-tested ground.”

Paul Roberts, Chief Operating Officer at Linedata Services (UK) Ltd, says Linedata has more than 50 customers using its FIX Gateway in the Us and Europe.

Linedata Services claims to be the first order management vendor to offer FIX connectivity in Europe and the first to support FIX Allocations globally. LongView Trading supports FIX 4.0, 4.2 and 4.4.
