Brett Williams has joined Cofunds as CEO to spearhead the platform’s development and growth. Williams takes over from Charlie Eppinger, who hands over the reins after a “watershed year” in which the platform reached profitability and saw an increase in market share and the number of investors using the service.
Founder of Selestia and then CEO of Skandia UK, Williams has worked in financial services for over 25 years and brings with him an unparalleled wealth of hands on experience in the platform and wraparena.
After four highly successful years as CEO, Eppinger will maintain his link with Cofunds in his capacity as non-executive Chairman.
“It is our job to help advisers by providing the tools and services needed to enable them to do their job; whatever challenges the difficult markets, lack of consumer confidence and the changing regulatory environment throws at them,” says Brett Williams.
“And in this regard Charlie leaves me a great opportunity – a platform committed to meet the evolving needs of the adviser community and their clients. Crucially, there is an obsession at Cofunds to continue to grow and develop with advisers and their clients.”
“We are pleased to welcome Brett Williams as the new Cofunds CEO,” says Charlie Eppinger. “He has tremendous knowledge and experience in UK financial services and a demonstrable record of achievement in creating and leading platform businessesm.”
